Albatross

Ownership

We were founded in March 2001, with the current management team buying the company from the former owner in 2002.

In order to remain independent, our management team decided to run the company without any venture capital. This decision was based on long-term thinking, but to counter short term instability, we operated in an extremely cost efficient way (a working practice retained to the present day).

During 2003/4, our revenues grew significantly as new customers signed contracts and existing ones expanded their business.

Since 2003 we have operated at a profit and reinvest this directly back into the company. This enables us to expand system capacity, meet rapidly increasing traffic volume, and improve service reliability.

We are not only management and staff owned, but in financial terms a very stable company. Our present economy is based solely on long-term contract revenues and does not depend on external funding from investors.

We were originally called Inabler and changed name to Albatross in April 2010.
