MCM Telecom is a broadband company based in Mexico City. They provide high capacity telecom services to the corporate market.
CUSTOMER REQUIREMENT
During 2007, the Mexican Communication Ministry demanded that all Mexican telecom operators enable direct routing by means of All Call Query (ACQ) for all terminating calls by July 2008.
ALBATROSS SOLUTION
MCM are an example of our ability to work with customers irrespective of geographic location. Our Number Portability Routing service functions according to the ACQ principle. We adapted our NPR service to the CRDB in Mexico and mirror the ported number information. Through a customised Web interface, MCM can see the porting status of numbers. The solution is managed remotely by Albatross.
BENEFITS FOR THE CUSTOMER
Thanks to our Number Portability service, MCM substantially reduces costs for unnecessary transit calls and eliminates the need to pay the incumbent operator to perform CRDB lookups. MCM also reduces processor and database capacity.
