Welcome to Albatross.com
The website that is all about
Albatross!
The Albatross is a wonderful bird known for its great size. There are
around 20 known species of albatross in the world. Albatross like to eat different types of seafood, and often
scavenge around for other food.
Most species of albatross are threatened since they
are accidentally caught by fishermen. Most albatross live in the southern hemisphere, but there are four
species that thrive in the North Pacific. Albatross do not make good pets since they are so large, need a lot of
space, eat a lot of food, and do not have the friendliest personalities.
The word albatross often denotes something that is large, fat,
slow, and inefficient. However, these connotations are not always true. Albatross can be large and slow, but they
are smart enough to keep surviving.
Stuffed animal albatross are very popular with
young kids since kids often love birds, and the albatross is one of the largest birds. If you'd like to
learn more about other animals, check out these sites if you like koalas or spider monkeys!
